So Sorry!

I was in such a hurry after I made those graduation cards- I forgot to take a picture of them! Alyssa really liked them! I did take pictures of our family reunion from that weekend though... so here are a few pictures to enjoy! I am going to try my best to get at least one card done this week! I have alot to catch up with in my house- preparing for company this weekend, and trying to move my scrapbooking/ craft items into my office- because my basement flooded over Easter- so I had to take alot of stuff and make do with it on the dining room table. The husband has been on me to clean it up! So- hopefully by the end of next week I can have everything moved into my office!

Hopefully able to start back up again! YAY!

I am making two graduation cards, both for the same person- but one for my mother to give to her. It's my cousins grad party today- and of course the procrastinator that I am, haven't made her a card yet- let alone two of them! I am going to see what I can create with my design studio! I just loaded it onto my computer- and will hopefully within the next day or two post the pics of my final results! Everyone have a great weekend!

Welcome to the world Brittany AnnMarie Young!

Hello all! I'm sure you've been waiting in suspense to hear about our newest bundle of joy! Well- IT'S A GIRL!

Brittany AnnMarie Young came into this world at 9:28 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2009. She was 9 pounds 9 ounces and 21 inches long!

We are all doing well... I had to try to find time to let you all know! It will be a while before I am able to get back into the crafting groove! It's alot more exhausting than I thought it would be! Enjoy these pictures in the meantime! Thank you all for your love, support, and prayers! They mean everything to us!

Tonight is the night!

Well- to keep you all posted- tonight at midnight is when I will be induced! So for sure by tomorrow there will be another baby in our family! We pray that all will go well! Any extra prayers are more than appreciated! We do not know what we are having- so it will be either a Brittany AnnMarie or a Brandon Donald.

As far as the creative aspect... I've been working to get the chipboard album ready for when the baby comes- so I can just put pictures in and start showing them off! It's for the new baby! I hope they will appreciate it when they are older!

I am using a paper glaze on it- which is a new thing I've been using! I hope it turns out how I envision!

Stumped....

I finally have the Cricut Design Studio- but cant find it on the Cricut MB the cut file to make a chipboard book! I want to get it started so all I have to do is fill it all in at the hospital. I will be induced at midnight Thursday night! I want to have something there to keep busy while the baby is sleeping and while I'm laying in bed! If anyone knows of the file- please let me know! Thank You!

That's what I am working on this week- I want to do some challenges- but will most likely be late doing that... considering there are priorities coming VERY soon! I can't wait! Missing you...

Here is a card for my first challenge for "If the Shoe Fits." I had fun with this and used my new Jubilee cartridge! I haven't used the letters from it because I am waiting for the Design Studio I ordered on ebay... should be any day now! I also used some scraps I had laying around, along with the stitched card cut from Wild Card. I love that cartridge so much. I don't think Ive used a cartridge as often as I use that one! My card has vellum titled "Missing You." I used ribbon from Best Occasions and some rhinestones to jazz it up, along with another favorite of mine- STICKLES! I like how this card turned out. I like the tones that I used, and think my cardmaking skills seem to be getting better. I think I've been broadening my horizons a bit! :)

Birds of a feather, flock together

Today I am entering my gift box into the crafty creations challenge. Anything birds... I decided not to do a card- to change it up a bit. I think it needs more- but am stumped- so I think I am finished with it... I used all wild card cuts with this. I used stickles on the birds to enhance feathers, and on the sky to add a little sparkle, and ink to the sky and tree to dress it up a bit. I used yellow brads for the birds eyes. Enjoy!

Not much for today...

(The above picture was taken a while back... I still smile everytime I see it! :))

I apologize for not getting any creations up to show all of you today! My husband had a minor surgery done today- so I've been tending to his needs.

I have been working on my project for one of the challenges that requires birds. I've been walking by it alot today- adding a bit to it here and there- so hopefully tomorrow I can get it on for all of you to see! :)

I see so many sketches that I can add to my challenges for the week! I can't promise I'll have anything posted on Saturday- it all depends on what the day holds!

I need to send out a congratulations to my friend Amber and her fiance Ben to their newest addition to their family! Welcome to the world Brayden Benjamin Schmidt! The family is home and doing well!

Thanks to all of my supporters and followers! I have been so happy to see the counter go up daily with almost 100 hits or more a day! That's great! I also have been gaining more and more followers as well! Thank you all for that! It makes me feel like doing this blog is actually getting somewhere! :)

Well- enough rambling on for now! Hopefully I'll have some for you tomorrow to admire or give some constructive criticism! I'm open for anything!

Happy Thursday!

Just a note... (Mojo Monday Challenge)

This card is for the Mojo Monday Challenge #94. I had fun with this card! I really liked all the design teams inspiration, and hope that this card is one of the winners! I think it has that potential! (I am usually not to quick to compliment myself!) I used the #1 cut from Wild Card. I used DCWV and My Big Ideas paper. I had some fabric flowers and flocked brads laying around- so I used that to dress it up. I also used Martha Stewart Ribbon. (That's my fave color! And I'm almost out! :( It was on clearance! ) I also used Moxie buttons and Stickles to dress it up as well. The stamp says- "Just a note to wish you a great day"

Hello (Stars and Strips challenge)

I decided to do my first challenge with The Pink Elephant. The challenge was Stars and Strips. The requirements: Strips of paper, Strips of Ribbon, Strips of String, Etc, Etc. So I used some pieces that I'd had and some foam stars. I dressed it up with some stickles. I used the WOW cut from the Wild Card cartridge. Please tell me what you think! I had fun making it!

Nothing for today... But a slight update...

I made a card- but will post tomorrow! I thought I would post what happened on Sunday at the Ducktona 500. Cassie did great- kinda cheated at her big wheel race! LOL! She got bumped into one of the cones, and cut through the middle! I was laughing so hard I was crying! I also saw alot of people I don't see very often. Lots of people asking how far I have to go yet- and all that. Let me tell you it gets tiring!!!

I went to the doctor today- and scheduled to be induced the 22nd- but I think I will be checking to see if I can change that to the 17th... I pray that she will let me! She said that she could induce a week early- and that would be the earliest. I've been sooo uncomfortable at this point- that I want to be able to be comfortable....just comfortable! I can't sleep for more than 4-5 hours at a time, and my back or my sciatic nerve has been bothersome too. Sorry to complain... I hope you enjoy the pictures from Sunday!

Red White and Blue...

I have entered into the OCC challenge for this week- which is a red, white, and blue theme. It does not have to be patriotic. I made a thank you card last week for a friend of mine and I also made another card today- a birthday card. The Thank You card is made from the wild card cartridge star card, and the birthday card is made from the wow card blacked out...

I hope you enjoy them both!

New Beginning... House Card

Today I did the House Card Challenge for Bitten By the Bug. I did have fun doing this- and like how it turned out! I used DCWV paper for both the card base and the other shapes. I had some Michaels stickers for the flowers on the bottom, and used some rhinestones for the window and door knob. I used stickles to emphasize the windows, and outline the vellum. I used Moxie buttons to dress up the "a new beginning" vellum. I used the Wild Card Cartridge. Let me know your thoughts!

4th of July...

We had a great time as a family going to the parade, visiting with friends, and watching the fireworks on Lake Michigan. It was an incredibly long day-but definately worth the family time! Here are a few photos from yesterday's fun!

Today we are going to Ducktona in Sheboygan Falls, which is a yearly thing at River Park. I'm hoping to enter Cassie into the Big Wheel races. She is at the max age- and it's only $1! Can't go wrong!

Love is in the air!

This was inspired by the previous card I made. I decided to do a love theme. I think it turned out ok. I used the blackout option Argyle card from the Wild Card cricut cartridge. I really do love that cartridge! I think that was one of the best purchases I made for that machine! I used basic grey paper for the front, and best occasions ribbon. I used stickles to decorate it out, and some cuts I had left over to embellish the swirls a bit. On the inside is a congratulations sticker I had. Thanks for looking! Tell me what you think!

Thank you card

I did this card for the OCC Challenge. I like the simplicity of this card. I added some stickles to it to make it jazzed up just a bit. I used Martha Stewart Ribbon and Memory Makers and DCWV card stock. I used the Wild Card cartridge using the hanukkah card blacked out.

Thinking of you card

I think this may be my last card/project for the day. When you are 9 months pregnant and staring at paper most of the day- it gets a bit tiring! This project is the Mojo Monday Challenge. I love following the Mojo Monday Blog. If you get a chance- check it out! They have great ideas to get your mojo flowing! I made this thinking of you card, and really like it. I like the color scheme I have. I used a card from the Wild Card cartridge, stickles, ribbon, and some fabric flowers that I had. I also had some extra cuts from previous cricut cuts that I used in it too. I think I know the perfect person to get this card!

A2 card box- challenge

I found this great site to do more than just cards! It's called Project Tuesday. I decided to do one of their challenges- which was create an A2 card box. I decided to create a recipe box. I have soooo much cooking paper that I received as a christmas gift, and I haven't been able to put much of it to use! So- I decided to use some today for this challenge! I used my cricut to create the apple on top- I used my Plantin Schoolbook Cartridge. I also had some vellum with some cooking sayings and used that for the top of the box as well.

Birthday card

This card is for the Stamps and Smiles Challenge. I used Wild Card cartridge for this. I also used stickles. I'm still up in the air about it. My friend saw it and loved it.... Tell me what you think...

BBTB Contest Summer Card

I had fun with this.I used 3 cartridges for my project here. I used Stretch Your Imagination, Plantin Schoolbook, and Wild Card. I think that's the first time I've ever used more than one cartridge! I guess you could say my creativity is expanding! YAY! So the contest said it had to be a summer card with a yellow button- My first thought of summer was sun, and the second was water- or the beach. So this is what I've created...

Scallop Thank You Card

I like the colors I used for this- I used Wild Card Cricut Cartridge and my Cricut Expression to make this. I used Diamond Stickles to enhance the "THANKS." I used some paper I had to do the liner- and I used DCVW card stock for the word "THANKS" and the card itself. I also used beige stamping ink to distress the edges of the opening of the card.
