Cassandra's Altered Dry Erase/ Chore Board

Happy Friday Everyone!
Sorry its been a bad posting week. I hope to get more posted next week! Today's post is to show you the Dry Erase board I bought at Target, altered, and hung on my daughters door. She'll like it for now- til it lists more chores! HAHA!

I paid $2.50 for the board, it included 2 magnets, 1 magnetic dry erase marker, and a magnetic eraser.
I decorated the black magnets with Prima flowers and some bling. I covered chipboard letters with MS Garnet fine glitter. Before I applied the glitter I ran it through my Xyron (face down) so I"d have an even coverage for the glitter. After I applied the glitter, I took Glossy Accents and put over the top to prevent a glittery mess, and give the chipboard a nice smooth shine to it. After I let them dry overnight, I applied them to the top of the dry erase board frame using Zots (a very sticky and thick version of glue dots). I then took more primas and some tulle and made a pretty flower to put next to her name. I applied the flower using Zots. Thank you for looking! I'd love to hear what you think! Comments are great!

Glitter Ornaments with instructions

Hello fellow crafters or admirers!

Today I finished 8 small ornaments. I used a pretty neat technique too! You use a little bit of Pledge Floor Cleaner (with future shine). it costs about $6 at Wal-Mart. Swirl it around the inside of your glass ornament. Then empty out the excess. Add glitter, shake around until the ornament is evenly covered. Shake out the excess glitter, and add the metal back onto the ornament, add ribbon to the metal, and you have a finished ornament! I used about 10- 12 inches of satin Stampin' Up! ribbon for some ornaments, and sheer for the others.

I hope this was explained well enough for you. Please ask any questions you may have! Please let me know what you think! Have a wonderful day!
