Today's post is also for the Red, White, and Blue Swap I was in. I made my partner some very patriotic stick pins that she can use to decorate anything- including scrapbook pages! I really hope she likes them! She might get her package today!
This blog is to inform those of my life, lessons, and crafts I design or think about designing.

Patriotic Altered item
Here is another "surprise" I made for my partner. I made something she can use to decorate her home. These used to have bath salts in them. I cleaned them out, and used the same technique I used to decorate my glass ornaments!
I am really happy with how cute they turned out! Please let me know what you think!

I LOVE THE USA
Hello to my followers! I am so sorry I haven't posted in ages! I am still here and incredibly busy! BUT- I am dedicating this weeks postings to the holiday coming up - The Fourth of July. I was in a Red, White, and Blue swap, and thought this would be the perfect week to post the creations I made! :)
Todays post is for "Star Spangled Banner" I made a USA sign in place of an actual banner. I am really happy with how it turned out! Please let me know what you think!

I can only Imagine
This is a wooden box I bought from Michael's and covered with cardstock using modpodge. I sanded the edges, and then I cut the word imagine by welding the letters together on my Gypsy. I used the Songbird cartridge for that, and the swirl was from the Cindy Loo cartridge. I then used some Basic Grey pearls to dress up the box. I adhered a few flowers that were clasped with a brad to finish it off. I put one word ideas in the middle so my partner that received this could use her imagination, or get her mojo going to get creative! I think I might need one of these for myself!
Please let me know what you think! Thanks for looking!

Sneek Peek Project
I have a sneek peek at what I am currently making right now. I'd tell you all what it is, but then my partner in a swap I am in will know what it is, and I really want it to be a surprise! I did a few close-ups and I am really happy with how things are working out on this!

Winter Layout
Hello everyone! I bet you've been wondering where I have been lately! I've been here- just staying busy! I've been working on swaps for the Cricut MB. I love that place! I just finished a swap and thought you all would like to see!
This is for my high quality layout swap. it has to be a double page- and you basically need to put all your heart and soul into it. It took me two full days to assemble- but it took me two weeks to decide what I wanted it to look like. I think I've succeeded. My thoughts to get across on this layout were snow- snow with some sparkles, and white. I used the Storybook cartridge for everything on this layout. I used DS to weld the word WINTER together. I chalked all the pictures and embellishments with Dew Drop Versa Magic Chalk Ink. They are my favorite, and I can't seem to buy those colors here anymore! :( I used Martha Stewart glitter on the word WINTER, and I used Polar White Flower soft for the snow effect. I had some mini stars from something that I threw in the snow with to help sparkle. I used stickles to embellish a word from each torn edge on the left side. I also used Recollections Pointsetta 3-d stickers to add that pop. I welcome any comments! I used Bazzil Basics for the base cardstock and the white card stock. You will see in one picture that has the flash- there's a pearlized look to the background. Then without the flash you can see alot of other details.

Sorry followers!
I have been so busy I feel horrible for those who follow my blog regularly! I can show you two things I've done for swaps and are mailed out now! :) It lifts soooo much off your shoulders once they've been sent out! I am also including a picture of the diaper cake I made for my SIL's baby shower!
The green background is the 8x8 recipe swap I was in, and the light blue background is the 2nd group of my fall/winter layout. I hope to get started on my double page layouts this weekend- waiting on a few things first! :)
I used stickles and chalking on the recipe page.
I used Stretch Your Imagination and Alphalicious on the let it snow layout.
