Sorry for being MIA!

Hello to my fellow followers! I am sooooo sooooo sorry for being so far behind on posting! I have been busy planning my hubbys surprise 30th birthday party (which was a success!), bowling, kids stuff, you name it... oh, and the hubby and I went on a weekend getaway that was fantastic! We went to a casino and came out $140 ahead! :) Always a good thing right?

Todays post is to show you what I have been working on since the beginning of last week. I'll only show a few examples, because there are so many. I will be selling these at my craft shows- but have started selling on Etsy. Here is my Etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/youngsscrapping

Please let me know what you think! Have a wonderful day!

update on my craft show

Hello Everyone! Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! As you all know, I had a craft show this past weekend, and wish I would have done a bit better. I am hoping that next weekends craft show goes better. I did sell some ornaments and some notebooks. Oh, and also I sold a few cards and therapy bags as well. But, I do have to say- it wasn't worth only getting 2 hours of sleep to get prepped for it! At least I know I have things ready and wont have to make any extras!

Here are a few more notebooks I did for my craft show.

Notebooks made for Craft Show tomorrow!

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is having a fabulous Friday!!! I know I will be cramming to get as many craft items made for my show tomorrow! I did get 8 ornaments made and 3 notebooks finished yesterday. I don't think that's too bad. Especially considering I'm still fighting this bronchitis. I did have fun creating. My goal today is to create 4 hot and cold therapy bags, 10 notebooks, and 5 Christmas cards. Lets hope I can stick to that goal! Without further ado- here are pictures of the 3 notebooks I made last night!

Glitter Ornaments with instructions

Hello fellow crafters or admirers!

Today I finished 8 small ornaments. I used a pretty neat technique too! You use a little bit of Pledge Floor Cleaner (with future shine). it costs about $6 at Wal-Mart. Swirl it around the inside of your glass ornament. Then empty out the excess. Add glitter, shake around until the ornament is evenly covered. Shake out the excess glitter, and add the metal back onto the ornament, add ribbon to the metal, and you have a finished ornament! I used about 10- 12 inches of satin Stampin' Up! ribbon for some ornaments, and sheer for the others.

I hope this was explained well enough for you. Please ask any questions you may have! Please let me know what you think! Have a wonderful day!

Being a BUSY CRAFT BEE!

Hello Everyone!

I know I have been EXTREMELY behind with blog posts. I've been fighting bronchitis for the 4th week now. Not fun! BUT on the upside- I have a craft show on Saturday, and I am going to try to sell glass ornaments that are hand decorated by me! :) Here are a few pictures of the large ornaments. Tell me what you think!

Have a great day!

Similar Children's Birthday Cards

This stamped image was from a stamped image swap. Cute little monkeys blowing bubbles... I thought, HEY! THIS WOULD BE CA-UTE FOR A CHILD BIRTHDAY CARD! So, I took that idea, and ran with it! I had some bright colored embossed card front panels. Number Collage and Happy Birthday Cuttlebug folders were used on these, along with a Stampin Up! stamp. I used Prismacolor Pencils to color the image, using the gamsol technique. I hope you like them as much as I do! Comments are great to let me know what you think!

Thanks for looking!

Christmas Card

Hello to my fellow followers and peekers! I am excited for Christmas! I made this card for some upcoming craft shows I will be in. I am hoping to be accepted into this Elkhart Lake Farmer's Market: http://www.elkhartlake.com/chamber-of-commerce/farmerartisan-market/

If I do- come and visit! It'd be great to see you! Keep track on my the Young's Scrapping Facebook page to see if I get in!

Here is the fun  Christmas card I made:

I got this adorable stamped image from my friend Jessica. Thanks so much Jessica! I had a few embossed panels left, so I thought this meshed well with the stamped image. What do you think?

Thank You cards

Here are two cards I made for my craft shows coming up. I had the same image, but made it slightly different for each card. I got these images from my friend Gwynne. They are so cute! Thanks Gwynne!

Cards Galore!

Hello my fellow followers! I have been pumping cards out like crazy in hopes to sell at a local farmers market! I have hit a slump on Wednesday and Thursday. These darn allergies take alot out of me! Anyway- back to showing a card a day. I will be throwing in a few swaps that I have participated in, here and there. Please let me know what you think! If you are interested in ordering any cards from me- I am happy to accomodate anyone! Email me at youngsscrapping@gmail.com

On to the card for today...

I have TONS of embossed cardstock ready to go, so all I've been doing is coloring an image, decorating the card up to make it sellable... I am excited and ready for fall... so that's why I showed this cute little witch! :)

What a disappointment!

Yesterday was the first craft show of 2009 for me, and boy was it BRUTAL! We had lots of people browsing- but not many buyers. My mom and my aunt also shared the booth with me, so they could sell their crafts too. It looks like the economy is really putting us crafters/vendors in a hard position! I sold 2 blank cards and a set of gift tags. My mother sold 1 candle, and my aunt had the better results than we did. She crochets, and had LOTS to choose from. She sold some dish towels, baby bibs, and some slippers. I hope the next craft show on April 18th does MUCH better. I think I will start to get discouraged otherwise! This week I would like to work on making some "squash books." I am hopeful of them, and think they will be a great addition to the things I sell at my craft events! I will keep you all posted when I finish one! I will be trying to be green with them and using recycled cereal boxes for the fronts and backs. It could be successful! (See- I am trying to be optimistic!)
