Happy Birthday Card for Nathan

Here is a card I made for my brother for his birthday. Hopefully he doesnt see this, as he hasnt gotten his card yet! It will be mailed today...

I used the Tim Holtz Patchwork embossing folder. Did lots of distressing, added some sheer ribbon, a heat embossed Happy Birthday Sentiment using part of a SU stamp. I used a Tim Holtz Trinket pin that says Treasure on it. I really like those pins. I need to get myself some more of them. This card was simple- but only becaue I didnt know what else to add for a man.

Happy Birthday Nathan!

Strawberry Birthday Card

Today's post is a card I made for my mother for her birthday. I have been wanting to use that cute strawberry from Indie Art, and found the perfect way to use it! I like to use the Mojo Monday Blog for ideas and some mojo. They never fail on giving me the mojo I need! :) Below is the picture of the sketch, and the photos of the card I made. HERE is the link to the post.

I used an SU punch and a computer generated sentiment on the front. The copper dots are Viva Decor Pearl Pen. Stampin Up! Hemp Twine was used in place of ribbon. I also used the Stampin Up top note die to make the beautiful light brown shape on the base. Used stickles to decorate the strawberry- but before that I ran it through my Sizzix Big Kick and the swiss dots embossing folder to emboss the strawberry. I also chalked the edges with Dark Brown Cat's Eye Chalk Ink! Please let me know what you think! Thanks! :)

Thank You Card

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful week! I made this Thank You card last night, and really love this little girl! I got this image from a crafting  buddy of mine, Teri. Thanks so much Teri! I hope I did her justice! :) I used smaller notecard base to make this card. I used spellbinders nestabilities to cut the scalloped circle. I then embossed that scalloped circle using the Divine Swirl embossing folder. I colored this little girl using prismacolor pencils using the gamsol technique. I added some sheer ribbon, punched from my SU punch, and stamped sentiment with my SU stamp set, Smooch Spritz for shimmer, some bling, and inked the edges with Timber Brown Staz-On ink. I used Viva Decor Blue pearl pen to add a little oomph to the sentiment. Thanks for looking! Let me know what you think!

Have a great day!

Hot Cocoa Card Mojo Monday Challenge

This is my entry for the MOJO MONDAY blog! Its a really fun card, and I am in love with it! I hope you all agree! I used a Sugar Nellie Stamped image that my wonderful friend Jessica has stamped forme. I also used the Christmas Cheer cart to create the cute little tree tag. The ribbon is discontinued Stampin Up! I am unsure what the embossing folder used in this background. ENJOY!

Simple Birthday Card

Here is a simple birthday card that I made for a swap for the Cricut Messageboard. I had to make 10 of them, so I tried keeping it as simple as possible. I heat embossed the cupcake image. Then while it was still hot, I sprinkled iridescent glitter on it (hard to tell in the picture) to add a bit of kick to it. Then I dry embossed the purple with divine swirls cuttlebug folder. I chalked the edges of the dark green background to brighten the card up a bit.

Please let me know what you think!

Enjoy your day!

Reminds me of Fall

Here is a card I made using a Whiff of Joy Stamped image. I got this gorgeous girl from my sweet friend Jessica! I can't thank her enough for sending me such adorable images to color! Thanks so much! I figured this could be used for a simple note card, or a thinking of you card. I used the ribbon because it reminded me of cooking- the pattern of the ribbon. I used a paisley background from a few swaps I participated in on the Cricut Messageboard. I chalked the pattern, chalked the edges of the image to tie the two colors together. I really like how it turned out. It reminds me of fall... not sure why... but it does...

Tell me what you think! I love receiving comments to let me know what you think of my creations!

Similar Children's Birthday Cards

This stamped image was from a stamped image swap. Cute little monkeys blowing bubbles... I thought, HEY! THIS WOULD BE CA-UTE FOR A CHILD BIRTHDAY CARD! So, I took that idea, and ran with it! I had some bright colored embossed card front panels. Number Collage and Happy Birthday Cuttlebug folders were used on these, along with a Stampin Up! stamp. I used Prismacolor Pencils to color the image, using the gamsol technique. I hope you like them as much as I do! Comments are great to let me know what you think!

Another Christmas Card

Here is another Christmas card that I made with non-traditional colors. This was colored with Prismacolor pencils, using the Gamsol Technique. I brightened up a few spots with doodle dots using the white sakura gel pen. I used a bit of stickles to add some pop, divine swirls embossing folder on the backround, and sheer ribbon as well! Please tell me what you think! Enjoy!

Very Merry Card

Here is another card I made to sell at my upcoming craft shows. I really like how this one turned out. This image is a Magnolia Tilda image. I am unsure who I got this image from, because I did get a few images from a few different people. I hope I did them justice on this card! Let me know what you think!

Vintage/ Distressed Mini Album

This mini album was made for my partner Claudia on the Cricut Messageboard. I really am happy with how quickly I was able to make it! I made it in ONE DAY! Can you believe that?! I can't! LOL! I was on a roll, and just kept going! The more and more I look at it, the more and more I like it. I used a ton of different elements, and I hope my partner likes what I made. I used Tim Holtz stamps that my friend Peachy let me borrow. She is such a sweetheart! Thanks so much Peachy!  I used Distress Stickles, several stick pins I am unsure of the name brand. I used ribbon galore- I always fall for sheer. I think it makes projects look nicer and blend much better. I had some tim holtz tattered floral cuts from when I was in branson, along with the flourish on the front. I like how it gave the feel of the book. BEWARE: THERE ARE LOTS OF PICTURES TAKEN!!! There are so many details, and I wanted to catch as many as I could.

Please leave a comment, and let me know what you think! Thanks a bunch!

I got this adorable stamped image from my friend Jessica. Thanks so much Jessica! I had a few embossed panels left, so I thought this meshed well with the stamped image. What do you think?

Happy Birthday Card for Kayla

Hello everyone! I am happy to show you a card I slapped together! HAHA! Yes, slapped together- made this card in 15 minutes while rushing out the door on Friday evening! I had some stamped images on hand, some embossed cardstock from a swap, so I quickly decided what I'd like to do. The birthday card was for a 17 year old girl. Hard to decide what to do, when they are that age! HAHA! So, I decided a Tilda stamp was appropriate, with the Happy Birthday embossed cardstock. I took some Distress ink over the cardstock (Tim Holtz Broken China). I colored the Tilda image with prismacolor pencils using the gamsol technique. I raised the image using pop dots, tied light blue grosgrain ribbon, added a swirl clip, and tada! I hope you like it! I impressed myself by getting this done that quickly, and was still happy with the outcome!

Not That It's All Cracked Up To Be GIBBS 3

Here is another project I did for my partner Teri from GIBBS 3 on the Cricut Messageboard. I took the phrase "Not That It's All Cracked Up To Be" and decorated a bare picture frame from Michael's. I used Tim Holtz Crackle Paint and one of his stamps and did a heat emboss on some thick cardstock. I used some Tim Holtz washers for the inside of the flowers along with some smaller punched out circles and flowers from a Stampin Up punch. I am unsure of the exact punch that was used. I took the white prima's and decorated them with StazOn ink and the Tim Holtz version of glimmer mist.

I would love to hear your thoughts! Comments are greatly appreciated! Thanks for looking!

Birthday Bag and Tag

Hello to my fellow followers! I hope everyone is having a fabulous Memorial Day weekend! I am posting a few pictures of a birthday bag I decorated for a friends daughter who turned 4 last week. I used a plain white gift bag that you can get in packages at Michaels. I spritzed my own version of glimmermist on the bag with tim holtz distress reinkers and perfect pearls. It really makes a great decorator! I have to say that it is one of the things I use daily when doing my crafting! I used black StazOn ink to distress the edges of the tag. I heat embossed some flowers on the bag, and heat embossed ADDY on the tag. Her mom is a scrapbooker, so I know it will go in her scrapbook! Please feel free to leave a comment letting me know what you think! Thanks for looking!

Happy Sunday!

Congrats Mike and Bridget! Wedding Album...

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope everyone had a productive Monday. I usually end up with a case of the Monday's. Then my day usually doesn't go so well. Yesterday went ok for the most part. We have a sick little baby on our hands. We were in the ER due to a very high fever. 103.8 is not good for a 9 month old. It's not good for anyone, really. But, we have her on antibiotics and such for an ear infection, thrush, and she's also fighting a virus. My poor little baby!

On a lighter note, I have a wedding album to show you that I made for a friend of ours. We decided last minute that we could go, so I made this in a few hours on Saturday before the wedding! I wish I could have done more with it, but am for the most part, satisfied with the outcome!

I used one of my newest cartridges "Give a Hoot" to make the cute little birds! I used the Potpourri Basket cartridge for the wedding rings, and the Storybook cartridge for the rest of the cuts. I loved the saying on the vellum sheet that was on the last page:

"If I had a flower for every time you made me smile, I'd be walking in an endless garden"
Author Unknown

I think it went perfect with the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder I used on the Core'dinations cardstock! I think I mentioned once that Core'dinations is one of my FAVORITE cardstocks, and I am ADDICTED to it!

I used ribbon of various brands to decorate the pages that had the Stampin Up library clips, and the binder rings.

Thanks so much for looking! I love hearing what you think, good or bad! Please leave a comment, even just to tell me you looked at my blog!
